Make couple‑friends in Manchester.
You've got each other. Now for the mates. We introduce you and your partner to other couples who've also just landed, for the kind of easy friendship that's weirdly hard to find as a grown-up.
free, by the way ↘
No dating. No networking. No weird stuff.
Four small steps to a fuller weekend.
-
01
Apply
One of you fills in a short form about your couple: where you live, what you're into, the people you'd click with. About three minutes.
-
02
Get matched
We hand-match you with two other couples in a similar spot: nearby, similar age, shared interests. Small groups of three, so it feels personal.
-
03
Get introduced
We email everyone an intro: first names, a little about each couple, and a suggested plan to break the ice. Then we step back.
-
04
Meet up
You take it from there: start a group chat, pick a night, grab a drink or a walk. Real friendship, on your terms.
You've got each other. Now for a crew.
Couple Circle is for couples (married, engaged, long-together or just moved in) who are new, or new-ish, to Manchester and want to widen their world.
Late twenties to forties. Expats and relocated Brits alike. If you moved here for work, for love, or just for a change, and you've not found your people yet, you're exactly who we built this for.
Made to feel easy, because it has to be.
We read every application
There's a real person behind the matching, not a sign-up-and-swipe machine. You'll also see a bit about the other couples before you meet, so you can decide for yourselves.
A simple code
Be kind, be respectful, no romantic or sexual advances. Break it and you're out.
Just friendship, no pressure
It's the normal stuff: a coffee, a pint, a Sunday walk. You meet who you like, when you like, and if anything ever feels off, tell us and we'll help.
We moved to Manchester and realised how hard it is to make friends as a couple. The meet-ups were all first dates or a bit odd, and "want to be our friends?" is a strangely awkward thing to say out loud. So we built the thing we wished existed.
from the two of us x
The bits people ask first.
Do we both need to sign up?
No. One of you applies on behalf of the couple and brings the other along. One profile per couple.
What does it cost?
Nothing right now. We're just getting started in Manchester, and it's free to join.
How are we matched?
By hand, for now: on area, age, interests, when you're free, and the kind of couples you tell us you'd click with. We aim for groups of three couples who can realistically meet up.
Whereabouts in Manchester?
All over Greater Manchester. We match on how close you are where we can, and lean on central Manchester when a group is a bit spread out.
So it's purely about friendship?
Yes, that's the whole idea. Couple Circle is for making genuine, platonic friends as a couple: other people to share a coffee, a pint or a lazy Sunday with. Nothing more complicated than that.
What happens after you introduce us?
You self-organise: start a group chat, pick a time and place. We're not in your chats; we just make the introduction and check in afterwards to see how it went.
Ready to meet your people?
It takes about three minutes, and there's nothing to lose but a quiet weekend.
